AIS installations are required to be connected to the vessels' Gyro compass
in the form of a NMEA sentence. However many of the older gyro compasses
in service are unable to provide this information. The NT925 HDI/VHW interface
will overcome this problem by converting the gyro compass synchro or step
information to the correct format for output to the AIS.

NT990RTU Rudder Transmission Unit

- The NT990RTU is a robust stand-alone rudder angle transmission unit that provides two isolated digital outputs and one non-isolated analogue output for use by proprietary navigation computers and/or monitoring devices such as VDRs & S-VDRs.
- When mechanically coupled to the rudderstock / tiller arm, accurate rudder angle data is continuously transmitted to the receiving device.
- Contains a built in error management ensures that the NT990RTU detects illogical / fault conditions with resultant 'Invalid Data' transmissions if appropriate.
